This base xp thing, should we just divide the xp by the skill lvl?
- Kind of a tricky question. My intent was to have the numbers you'd need to reasonably predict how much you'd make at any level. Base XP is what you'd get hypothetically at level 0 (even if it's not craftable at 0).
- The XP for a skill at a given level should be BaseXP + Level * Average XP increase/level.
- To figure the BaseXP you need two data points. Say you make 150xp at lvl 10 and 405xp at lvl 40, that would be 405-150, or 255xp for 30 levels, or average 8.5xp per level. Then 10*8.5 equale 85, so at level 0 you would have made 150-85 which equals 65xp - the BaseXP.
Instead of having that sort of "work in progress" information on the main page, we should have that here in the discussion (so the front page stays clean)

[edit] Major Update
It's February 18th, 2007, and I just revamped the entire Alchemy page and updated the information therein based on the list previously posted.
[edit] Alchemy Formulas
Well, found out something interesting today. The alchemy formula's multiplier isn't constant throughout the table. For lower level potions the formula is Level x 5 + base exp, but that doesn't hold up when you get to more potent potions, since instead of increasing by 5 each level, it increases 8. This leads me to believe the devs are rewarding the harder to make potions more strongly, and thus I have changed the table to reflect the full formula instead of just the base exp, since that'd be effectively worthless without the multiplier information.
