[edit] Part I: Spider Legs
Start in the city of Krog. Bring 5 Cooked Spider Legs with you. There is a thin passage through the rocks East of Krog. Within the passage there are 2 northern splits. Take the second northern split where you will find a Kobold prisoner. Keep talking to this NPC until he asks you for some spider legs. Give him the legs and he will tell you a 'secret'.
[edit] Part II: The Temple of Agon
Continue along the southern split, going south, to the end of the passage. Then turn west, and follow the mountains into the kobold village. The village well is also a secret passage to the underground Temple of Agon. Run into the well and you will find yourself in a small room. Take the next ladder into the Krog sewer. Follow the green line of the sewer to the ladder entrance to the temple. Continue south, west, and south until find an NPC haunting known as the minion of Agon.
He will tell you about a pack of kobolds who stole some pages from the Book of Agon. He suspects some Cultists helped them. He asks you to return the pages to him. Start by questioning cultists until you find out where they are. Proceed to kill cultists until one of them tells you "A...<gasp> Kobold Brigand...unnghh...has the pagers...Agon forgive me..." (This may take quite a while.)
[edit] Part III: Kobolds
Exit the temple through the well exit and begin hunting Kobold Brigands (level 16) in the area south of the Kobold Village until you get a message: "You find a dirty scrap of paper with almost indecipherable writing. The page reads..."We wreck old temple, Dragoon buy pages for gud surprise." (This also may take some time.)
[edit] Part IV: Dragoons
Proceed northwest from Krog to the Vorda Swamp area to hunt Dragoons (level 12) until you get a message: "You find several withered pages of the Book of Agon." Return the pages to the minion of Agon for 2000 points and the privilege to enter the lower sanctuary to seek the 'Shadow of Agon'. (This took about 1/2 hour for this editor.)
[edit] Part V: The Test
Proceed north, east, north, east, north through the locked door, east, and north to the lower level entrance room. (I had trouble opening the locked door - just run at it and you'll run right through it at 3320, 3845.)
Once in the lower level, proceed east, south, east, south, bypass the next east, east, south, bypass the next east, east, and south into large room and a haunting NPC known as the Shadow of Agon (3381,4020). This room has heavy and continuous Shadow (level 17) spawns.
The Shadow of Agon will put you through the test of battle in which you must kill 4 shadows. There's some nice lightening strike affects at this point. :) For this you will receive 37,500 experience and epool and one of 4 pieces of shadow armor (cloak, helm, gloves, legs).
