[edit] General Information about Quests

A Quest is just that; it is a mini adventure you can choose to embark upon during your travels in Ashen Empires. You will never be required to take a quest, however, quests are probably the quickest way to level up your character.

[edit] Types of Quests

There are three kinds of quests: Static Quests, Dynamic Quests, and Scroll Drop Quests. Within these categories are several other types of quests, many of which revolve around killing certain creatures, retrieving items, or delivering notes/information to NPCs around the world.

[edit] How to Find Quests

Quests can fall into your lap while adventuring, but sometimes you must explore and talk to people to find quests. You can start by looking at various Quest Guides, both on this WIKI and other community pages (List of Fansites)

[edit] Quest Rewards

Most often you will get xp and epool as a reward for completing a Quest. Sometimes, though, you can get gold, items of great value, and even recipes.

[edit] Quest Log

Currently, there is no quest log in Ashen Empires, despite the fact that it is probably the most requested feature. There has been talk about adding a quest log at some point in the future, but no details have been announced or finalized. There is a community project in the works at Heroes Inn which acts as a user created and monitored quest log. When launched, you should be able to keep track of quests and steps, and choose whether or not you want to see spoilers for the quest.

You can also see a very rough quest log on the Pixel Mine Secure Site. Log in with the account of the player you wish to see, choose the Games tab, and then click on the link that says "View your Ashen Empires Character Information." Once there, you have to choose the server and character you are intersted in. There are several drop downs on the right side of this page; Data and Flags contain quests and some kill count information but it can be difficult to decipher.

Most people right down the quest information somewhere, in notepad or an Excel spreadsheet, even a pad of paper. You can also view your chat logs and search for the text "Quest Received" or other quest related information, but this is a very tedious process.
